Where is everyone getting their D levels checked. My sister is having severe muscle twitching and her endocrinologist has her on lots of supplemental D.
She went to Quest today to have d-125 drawn and they said they no longer ice their vitamin samples per their protocol....
Is it still recommended to have d-125 iced?
Thank you,
Martha

Here is what the Knowledge Base says (please let us know if this is incorrect):
http://mpkb.org/home/tests/dtesting
"the order must specify Test Code #4729 to be frozen"

Ugh! More propaganda!
"Although more foods today are supplemented with vitamin D, experts say it is rarely possible to consume adequate amounts through foods"
...blah blah blah...

Carricol,
I think you could post that on the main site here:

Good thing the D will suppress the inflammatory damage that those antibiotics could provoke! Or he would be causing harm. Don't they promise to "do no harm?"...

Now the latest I heard yesterday on the news is that Vitamin D is good for mold allergies. This is all over the Internet and just stirs my anger up! The story on our local news is that those tested "had low levels of D and allergic to mold". Recommendation was to take Vitamin D for mold allergies.
Interestingly I feel strongly that mold has been a factor in my illness and notice since being on the MP, much less reactive when mold is high.
