I think being on the MP counts for it all.
My hope in making the post was to help people see that THIS, the MP, might be the challenge of their life time, and that they can make it through. I was hoping that some who are struggling with how hard it is could see the metaphor of the climb that is do or die and see it as one they can embrace. To dig deep and take those leaps of faith. None of us knows if we will reach the top.
I climbed, however, because I loved climbing and on that particular day, at that moment in time, I had to climb because I love life. We are doing the MP because we love life.

P.S. And if anyone is doing the MP simply out of a fear of death, then I suggest that you do what you can to come to terms with death. Being afraid of death gets in the way of truly living your life, which on the MP gets in the way of being in the moment and finding joy despite how horrid your IP might be at the moment. Life is lived regardless of the circumstances. Denying the circumstances denies life.
