I am delighted to hear that the cat dander didn't become a terrible situation for you, Russ. My only advise was to wash, wash, wash. But everyone was so eloquent. *smile*
We just put (mind, we own our house so we get to decide this stuff) an air cleaner onto the furnace system. It uses UV light to blast chemicals in the air before it hits the heating or cooling system. The list of junk it kills is amazing. Tire factory fires, necrotic tissue scent in a cancer ward, pig barn clean out odors, highway exhaust. And cat dander. That one cracked me up when you put it against tire factory fire smoke, but misery is misery, eh?
And what a relief that now I can go ahead and necroticize my flesh and no one in the house will be able to smell me. We finally have a solution for dog gas.... begone!!

Juanita, I'll trade you cat dander for tire factory fire smoke. Claire

Or pig barn clean out.
The problem is... cat dander makes the eyes burn, itch and sting and one loses their sense of humour so quickly. Where as farm exhausts, barn clean out, forest fires, they just make me crabby.
It's all a weighing game of priorities, eh?

I'll take the first group of sxs you mentioned and the second group of sxs over severe lung and sinus reactions and severe all over body pain and swelling in my brain and being totally incapacitated for weeks--that is, bed bound with flu-like sxs. For whatever reason, that was what my body did to paint, cats, and cigarette smoke. Exposure to those things were like tipping points for full body immune response. However, you are welcome to keep the seizures that you have to other chemicals!!! Last edited on Thu Jun 11th, 2009 21:19 by eClaire

I am "welcome" to have my seizures??? Well, that's an interesting way of looking at things! Ahahahahahahahaha!!!
Yeah. I know. I underplayed how badly I react. But denial is my friend. Honest. A big fuzzy teddy bear that keeps getting me into trouble. But he loves me.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Of course, I did not mean THAT! But if we are trading, I don't want them.
Denial is an essential coping mechanism until it is not. Given that you are stuck in your home and unable to test that denial fully, it's proably still serving a good function!
I'm laughing at denial being good not your being stuck in your home. Don't want my words twisted....

Sorry * Claire boots denial teddy bear out the front door *...Denial is not welcome in my house. At least not for the time being...check on me the next time something really big happens--something that seriously threatens my ego. We can talk then!
