While this is not unexpected (I expect a lot from the MP), I have had an improvement in my vision yet again.

Since becoming totally disabled, no matter my vision is corrected letters and numbers on the printed page (and in the eye exam) have looked hairy... as if they were made on an Etch a Sketch with traces of the material pulled this way and that.

Two days ago I realized I am no longer seeing that. Whew! I love it when all of a sudden you realize a chronic symptom has simply disappeared.

Yes, nice Claire!  Eye improvements are THE best!!!

Found the following on a sarc site...Found this very interesting because of a scar on my knee that healed lumpy and "swollen" when I was about six years old. I noticed the same thing through the years it would look more swollen or pink in color... Since I have been on the MP this scar has flattened 100%.  Like you Claire, I just happened to notice this one day and told my hubby, heh look at this scar that HEALED after 40+ years!

Post from FSR site:

sept 09 when i initially became sick some old scars on my thigh from back when i was a teen became raised, red and sore. everyone blew it off as if it was nothing, how could it be nothing, in 20 yrs it never did that, so why now? Old scars on my knees from learning to ride a bike are raised and red, the scar from the chest tube in my chest is remaining raised and irritated looking. i've never had scars react in this way, and i have plenty

Since early High School I have had one eye severely short-sighted and in late age the other eye is becoming long sighted.  (This leaves a fuzzy gap right where the computer screen likes to be, particularly the one I had to use at work).

Needless to say, I would not have been able (as some of my cousins have done) to get a pilot's license and it is also illegal for me to drive a car without wearing glasses because I can only see the world in two dimensions without my driving glasses on (I have broken the law by driving my sick husband to emergency wearing NoIRs)

Well, I find this quite extraordinary:  After about 15 months on MP, at a time when my IP was really kicking in on the mental level and other levels to make life a challenge,
I noticed that while wearing my (non-prescription) NoIRS
If I am really relaxed, my brain starts to interpret the world in three dimensions
totally unexpected, and as far as I am concerned, inexplicable.....

Hubby just got back from his yearly eye exam and they say he is becoming slightly far sighted after being quite near sighted for years ....   He is still near sighted but not to the degree he was!!   He is thrilled and he is/has been on Benicar only ...always!

Like Deb, I have had scar and other tissue heal since being on the MP

1) Was bitten by a dog just below the knee in the course of my work 4 years ago - it stayed pink-purple but has resolved and flattened in the past year.  I now have to look really hard to find it.

2) Aged 7 I had a single boil on my right upper leg which was treated with poultices at the time but for the next 48 years had a red raised blob beside it.  This got worse in line with the sarc but is now almost away :D

3)  When I was 20, I had oral surgery on my upper jaw.  I have had several long lasting rounds of IP along the incision line across my top palate and gums, during the last bout I woke up with the entire mucosal lining of my palate lying in shreds in my mouth, and eating was a challenge for a few days! But since then, my palate and the incision lines have been healthy and pain free.

4)  For a year before going on the MP, a large lump would come up on the inside of my cheek to the left of my mouth, under the mucosal lining, usually after I had eaten food.  This has now completely gone.

5) My gums bled profusely prior to the MP despite good oral hygiene.  Going on Olmetec stopped that in its tracks - the first improvement I had when starting the MP.

6) I had a lot of inert raised lumps around my midriff which are now almost completely gone.

Hurray for the MP!

Yeah Morag!  I keep waiting for stuff like this to happen.  Well, one thing has happened.  I used to always have various bumps on my chest where pores would clog.  That's pretty much gone now.  Still waiting for two age spots to disappear.  One looks like a mole (but is not) and I've had it on my breast since my early 20s.  When that falls off, you just might hear me yell clear across the pond!

Clarie. . .  I, for one, can't wait to hear you yell with some improvement. You certainly deserve some encouragement from your body. Best to you.

I'm hanging out for some improvements in scars and skin discolourations!!!  Alas, not yet.  And in fact, I seem to scar more easily than before...(though I'm assuming this is due to getting older albeit the anti-ageing effects of the MP).

But, my eyelashes continue to get thicker and thicker.  It's quite astounding.  If only I'd taken close up photos of my eyes pre-MP so I could substantiate it!

regards, k

k, now that's a reason to celebrate!!!  I've never had much in the way of eyelashes and so I'd be particularly psyched about that.  So far, my eyebrows are getting thicker (this is welcome, as they were disappearing) and the hair on my arms and legs is returning.  But eyelashes?  Hey, I'm going to start looking!:D
